I started making Flanders laces from the book: "Vlaanderse kant" of J.E.H. Rombach-de Kievid, ISBN 90-6255-335-4 (Dutch original) 3-258-04162-8 (German translation ).
With Flanders lace the runners change direction without a supporting pin. The book shows only simple clothstitches (left) while an additional twist and turn (right) gives a better control.See also LOKK technique (insmijting), Dutch text, more drawings. What I didn't yet apply this improvement as I discovered it too late.

I'm continuing now with: "Flanders Lace, a step-by-step guide" of Mary Niven, ISBN 0-7134-8815-8.
Both books show severla variations for the inner corner.
I chose the method with the smoothest mesh beause I didn't know that both cloth stitch pairs shouldn't be discountinued for mounting.
With the latter method their is also less chance too make a mistake and having to redo the whole corner line.
