On this page an example of finishing techniques I discovered in the book "The Beginning of The End" of Ulrike Löhr. Two methods are applied to a pattern from the 2nd "Kantbrief" of 2001. Other finishing examples are my Flanders projects.
It helps sometimes to try out new techniques on a scale model of knitting cotton and nails. ![]() closeup (24kb) ![]() wrongside | Thus you can try out your plan without spoiling your eyes. Red indicates the working direction in this example, blue is worked twice. ![]() | Just a small piece kan be worked double in this case. Thus the threads need to be rearranged in an unusual way to get them paralel in both layers. ![]() | ||
