When I was still a teenager I saw a bobbin lace maker on a local fair. I paid close attention to try it at home, but I didn't succeed without a book from a library.
- 1985-1992 Honiton
And address in a booklet makes me find a lace guild. Thus at last I met other bobbin lacemakers. They inspire me and learn me where to shop.
In this period I refined my Honiton technique with two courses organised by the LOKK. One own design I finished: a christening font on the occasion of the birth of a nephew.

- 1993-1997 Rosaline
The first Rosline piece I made on a course. Back home I continued with some books to try the rest of the techniques applied in own designs. All shown projects are designed and made by myself. One of these designs is again a christening font.

- 2000-... Flanders
- I adjusted patterns to make them fit around a passport photograph. So the samples don't need to disappear in a map, and are just large enough to practice.
- 2001
- I fall in love with Milanese Lace. Among others because of the Rooster on the site of Carolina.
But even nine lifes of a cat would be too short to make everything I would like.
- 2002-... Finishing
- To finish my projects I more and more use the book "The Beginning of The End" of Ulrike Löhr. For example with my later Flanders projects.
Another experiment you can find as scale model under "tips and tricks".
- 2003 Milanese
At last I made my beginners piece in Milanese lace. A lesson learnt: draw the runners on a copy of the pattern. I got myself surprised by making backstitches I'd better not made, because the carefully dotted pattern anticipated the curve.
